Scottish wedding venues
Scottish wedding venues have to be some of the most varied in the world, from castles and cattle barns to town halls and hotels – we’ve got it all up this neck of the woods.
For obvious reasons we love a DIY venue, where you can really get stuck in and bring all your own personal touches to the day. As a result, some of our favourite wedding venues in Scotland are barns and byres, with beautiful stone walls, pitched roofs and generous wooden doors out onto the wilderness that is our countryside.
It’s in these gorgeous, rustic venues where we think our wedding props and wedding flowers come to life, standing out against the neutral backgrounds of the raw materials the walls, roofs and floors are made from.
If you prefer something a little more traditional then don’t get us wrong, we love a good hotel too. So we'll include some of those in time, we know no two brides are the same. Because we can’t quite choose a favourite we have to admit that we love hotels in city centres, with cool, minimalistic décor while also loving sprawling country manor hotels with wild gardens and eclectic furniture collections.
If you can’t make your mind up on the traditional idea of a venue then perhaps a marquee is your answer. You can set them up in the most beautiful spots in all the land, and have a say in every tiny detail of the décor. Plus, there’s a lot to be said for a BYOB bar in our humble opinion, we are Scottish after all.
Whatever Scottish wedding venue you choose we know it’ll be perfect for you and your style. Have a little scroll through some of our favourites below and see what jumps out at you. If you like the look of what you see, drop them a line.
